A conversation on a street corner last week. A group of kids were walking in single file trying to step on each other's shadow.
Me to the first boy in line: "You'd better be careful stepping like that because that shadow might just come loose and then it would go off on it's own and wander around."
The boy: "No, that will never happen because it is a part of him."
Me: "Well, if it's a part of him, then why is it down there?" [points to the shadow on the sidewalk]
The boy: "Yeah, well, okay, so it's not really a part of him. What it is is that he stands between the sun and..."
Me: I didn't hear the rest because I had my fingers in my ears and was saying loudly, "La-la-la-la-la-la-la..."
Or something like that.

Starting again again.
Ahhhhhhh! It's been sooooooo long since I have done anything here. But now I have seen the error of my ways and will start blogging here again.
And we will fix the place up. It's gone to seed while I've been gone and there are all sorts of other books that have come out we need to post here and about, (Adorn the walls.) So anyway, we start again.

The book
Okay, so I've just published the book for which this blog is named. The cover is to the right. There is a page up on top with a synopsis of the book. I will provide other things on it later.

A start
I guess I should start posting here. Been busy with school and some writing I'm doing. I am finishing up the book that I took the name for this blog from though the name is borrowed from another source. (Know what it is?) It will be published on Kindle in a week.
Anyway, I consult, I write, I teach and I live in Ukraine with my family. Very interesting in a number of ways. Lots of culture; lots of differences. I'm the American in the small town we live in. Just about everyone knows where the American lives.
Welcome to come over but not if they are staggering drunk like the guy who tried to force his way in a month ago. Scared my kids.
